the value of humility

“It’s hard to be humble, especially in a world that pushes -branding yourself-, competition, and fame” https://www.forbes.com/sites/alexknapp/2012/01/03/why-its-essential-to-be-humble/#1c30b8827e94.

How hard is to be  humble? to recognize we are humans and we make mistakes, a lot of mistakes. How hard is to help, to help the neediest, our friends, coworkers and family; I am not talking about giving away material things and feel alleviate, I am talking about to be there for each other, to speak with candor and give a good guidance, to interact with kindness, without much pretension or ambition, without second intentions, not expecting something from the other you help.

IMG_4790 Humility could be associated with being weak, too passive or insecure, but, as I understand it, that is further from truth and reality, is all the opposite; it demonstrate confident in yourself, openness, flexibility, compassion;to seek deeply in your human and spiritual perspective for the necessity of helping and understanding others, without regrets and without feeling the need of recognition for your actions, but instead, let those actions speak for who you are and what you believe; learning from your mistakes and doing better.

Let your right hand doesn’t know what your left hand do. To be humble is not to think less of yourself, but to think of yourself less.

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky

Imagine all the people living for today
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too

Imagine all the people living life in peace,
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people sharing all the world,
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine: Beatles, composer John Lennon.
